"Wolf Pack"Written By: Emerald Pillow Pairings: 1x2x1, 3x4 Warnings: Yaoi, lemon, humor, angst um...I think
that's all...OH YEAH! *slaps her forehead* Totally AU, and language
(Duo can never swear enough) Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing, but you can
try to sue me, but all you'll get is a cat with a half mask like Trowa
(But, her name is Duo...) Comments: The idea of the bar thing and what the
bartenders do came from the movie Coyote Ugly, but with a little twist.
Everything else is original (I hope). Um, the only G-boys name used
in the story is Quatre's the rest have other names to go with the
story. Dingo is Duo, Coyote is Heero, Hyena is Wu Fei, Jackel is Trowa.
All the guys are pretty much in character, so you should be able to
tell them apart. Hope you enjoy it! ^-^ Rating: NC 17
Part 1 A rather heavyset man sat at the door, allowing only
certain people inside the bar. He glared at Quatre and demanded to
see ID. Quatre quickly handed the man his driver's license. The man
eyed him suspiciously, then handed him the license back. He glanced
up at Katrina, one of Quatre's older sister, then allowed the two
inside. As they entered, they were greeted by loud music and a thin
cloud of smoke. Katrina tightly grasped her little brother's hand and
lead him toward the front of the bar. All the while, she pushed and
shoved through the crowd until the bar came into view. They quickly
snatched two empty stools where a couple had just left. Four guys
ran from one side of the bar to another, serving drinks at a maddening
pace. They each flirted with the customers as they worked and accepted
any drinks that were offered to them. Quatre watched in awe as each
bartender spun, tossed and titled bottles in their hands. It was his
first time in a bar, and he was just a little taken aback by everything.
"What's shakin' Tre?" One of the bartenders
asked abruptly as he stopped in front of the siblings. "Not much Dingo." Katrina answered and then
glanced at Quatre. "This is my little brother Quatre. It's his
first bar visit." A wide grin spread across Dingo's lips as he
leaned against the counter. "Cute kid." He commented and flipped his braid
over his shoulder. "Well tonight also happens to be his birthday,
so why not give him the birthday special?" Mischief shone brightly
in Dingo's violet eyes. "You don't say? Well just give me about ten minutes
or so to tell Wolf, and get the boys ready, and I think we can arrange
that for you." He pushed himself away from the bar. "And one more thing," Katrina added before
Dingo walked off. "Give me two of the usual." Dingo nodded.
"I'll have Hyena take care of you." Dingo
slinged over to the nearest bartender. He was the same height as Dingo,
but appeared to be more muscular. He had brown hair and deep colbat
eyes. He was in the middle of serving a guest when Dingo interrupted
him. "Hey, Coyote, B-day special in ten. Blondie three seats
down." Coyote looked over at Quatre. It was only for a moment,
but it was enough to make Quatre fear the worst of the birthday special.
Once the guest was taken care of, Coyote jumped onto the bar and stared
at Quatre a little longer. His colbat eyes appeared threatening, as
they seemed to be memorizing the little Arab. A instant later, he
leapt off the counter and disappeared somewhere amongst the mass of
bodies. "What's the birthday special?" Quatre wondered
aloud as he tried to relocate Coyote. "Nervous?" Quatre's attention was averted
back to the bar where a Chinese bartender slammed two shot glasses
in front of them. A wicked grin plagued his features, a matching gleam
could be found in his black eyes. "Ease up Hyena, it's his first time." Katrina
interrupted as Hyena poured their drinks. "First times are always the most painful."
Hyena continued as he glared at the blonde. Once the drinks were poured,
he tossed the half full bottle to his left, where another bartender
caught it without really looking. This bartender was a little taller
than the others, but because his bangs covered half of his face, Quatre
couldn't really tell to much. Suddenly a upbeat song sliced through
the bar and was followed by loud cheering as Hyena and the banged
bartender jumped onto the counter. Quatre jumped a little at the sudden
action, causing Hyena to only laugh at him. The two bartenders broke into an upbeat dance that was
filled with amazing flips and handstands. As they danced, Dingo reached
under the counter and pulled out eight torches. He lit each torch,
then tossed them one at a time to the banged bartender, who caught
them easily and began to expertly juggle them. The speed of the juggling
was so quick that the torches blurred together to appear to be a huge
ring of fire. Suddenly the bartender tossed one of the torches to
Hyena. Hyena caught the torch and took a quick drink from a bottle.
He turned to face the audience and positioned the torch. Without warning,
he sprayed the liquid. Flames erupted above the crowds head, only
making them cheer louder. From afar, it really did appear that he
was breathing fire. The banged bartender threw his torches one at
a time to Hyena. With each torch, Hyena took a drink, and then spit
it into the fire. He would then throw the used torch into a bucket
that Dingo had placed on the counter next to him. Quatre, however
didn't notice the flames dancing over his head. His eyes were locked
onto the juggler. As the last torch fell into the bucket and sizzled
out, Dingo hopped onto the counter, microphone in hand. "Can I have everyone's attention please?"
The crowd ignored Dingo's request, each still rowdy because ofHyena's
performance. "Shut the fuck up!" Dingo screamed. This time
the crowd obeyed and settled. "Jeez. Any ways." He threw
the microphone somewhere behind him and continued talking in a loud
voice. "I just want to say that tonight's very special. All because
we have a birthday boy in the house. And to make it even more special,
this is his first time in a bar." Laughter arose from the crowd
at the last statement and Quatre could feel his cheeks grow hot with
embarrassment. Dingo looked down at Quatre and grinned. "So the
wolves and I decided to make it a night he'll never forget."
The look in Dingo's eyes clearly stated that he wanted Quatre to join
them on the counter. Quatre blushed deeper and shook his head in disagreement.
"Come on, it'll be fun." Katrina coaxed as
she gave him a starting shove. "I can't." Quatre whispered after somehow
managing to find his voice. He glared at his sister, promising to
get even somehow. He was too busy denying the chance to ascend that
he didn't notice the banged bartender kneeling in front of him. Quatre
looked up a little surprised as a hand was extended to him. His blue
eyes met serious emerald as his heart stopped. The bartender's bangs
covered half his face, but allowed a clear view of his left eye. Something
in that one green eye told him that everything would be fine. Without
thinking, he accepted the extended hand. The green eyed dancer pulled
the birthday boy onto the counter with him. Neither of them were aware
of the evil stares cast toward them by Hyena. Their eye contact was
broken when Dingo slipped his arm around Quatre's shoulder. "How about a little song?" Dingo continued
and lead the crowd in a chorus of Happy Birthday. Quatre covered his
face with embarrassment, but Dingo quickly removed them. "Don't
be embarrassed." Dingo whispered to him. "Consider yourself
fortunate." Quatre looked at him a little confused. Dingo didn't
explain any further as the lights dimmed. Quatre searched the room,
trying to understand what was going on, when his eyes fell on Coyote.
He had returned and was now holding a cake in both hands. The crowd parted to allow the passage of the cake. Once
he reached the counter, Coyote leapt onto the bar and approached Quatre.
He held the cake out to him. The song ended and the candles were blown
out. The lights were returned to normal, and Coyote handed the cake
to his emerald eyed coworker. Cake in hand, he then hopped down and
placed it under the counter. Quatre started his own descend, when
a hand restrained him from doing so. "You're not done yet." Hyena taunted as he
handed Quatre a bottle. There was no label on it, so Quatre had no
ideal what it was they wanted him to drink. He stared at it a moment,
wondering if he should drink it without really knowing the contents.
He searched the faces of each of the bartenders, trying to decide
what to do. Finally his eyes landed on Katrina. "Go ahead, it's only alcohol." Shrugging,
Quatre tilted the bottle. When the liquid met his tongue he suddenly
felt sick. He lowered his hand to stop from going further, but Hyena
pushed the bottle up a little further. He had no choice but to drink
it now. The crowd suddenly turned into a mantra. "Chug! Chug! Chug!" Quatre started to panic.
The liquid was coming in a lot faster than he could drink, but somehow
he managed to keep up. Quatre started feeling funny. It was a sensation
he never felt before, and couldn't begin to describe. "Hyena stop!" Out of the corner of his eye,
he could see the unibanged bartender standing under them. "Loosen up Jackal, he can take it." Hyena
responded as he titled the bottle further. "You're not weak,
are you Blondie?" Quatre couldn't answer as the last of the bitter
tasting beverage flowed from the bottle. Once the bottle was empty,
Hyena held it up in victory. He threw his head back and released an
ear piercing howl. This was followed by Dingo and Coyote. Jackal remained
silent. Hyena threw the empty bottle on the floor in front of him.
"Told you he could take it." The three bartenders then broke
into a dance, pulling Quatre along with them. Quatre did the best he could to keep up, but his vision was starting to blur. He tried to focus on something stationary, but the entire room was spinning. Everything was blurry. He heard someone call his name, but couldn't make out who. The music started to muffle. Quatre stopped and yanked himself from the dancers. His stomach felt like it was going to explode. The bartenders were now staring at him. Dingo was talking to him, but Quatre couldn't hear a word he was saying. He could barely focus on Dingo's face. Weakness overwhelmed him. His knees suddenly buckled and he toppled backwards. He felt himself free fall for a instant and waited to hit against the floor. To his surprise, he landed softly into a pair of arms. He looked up at who had caught him. The last image he saw before he settled into the darkness was one emerald eye looking down at him. ~ * ~
